Period Suddenly Stop - Is this possible in perimenopause?
I suppose anything's possible concerning perimenopause. I have many of the symptoms listed here on this board, so I wouldn't put it past it. I'm 43 and missed my period last month (after years of being consistent), now it looks like it's going to be absent again this month. My GP says yes it's possible, and it could be a "fluke" -- I took 3 preg tests, 2 home and 1 at the doc's -- all negative. I've been on Paxil for about a year.
Anyone having any input or opinions or experiences with this I would really like to hear from you! Thanks!!

Hi Design Eye,
Yes, it is highly probable that you're going thru perimeno. I've always been consistent too but started having "irregular" periods around age 46 or so (think I'm a late bloomer). Would skip a month here and there. Last year, at age 50, didn't have my period for 4 months and then again didn't have it for almost 7 months this year. You're normal and fine...don't worry...wait it out and see what happens next couple of months!
Re: Period Suddenly Stop - Is this possible in perimenopause?
Design eye, I'm 45, will be 46 in November and yes, my periods after being on time have completely flopped these last 6 months. First, I had them to close together and then the spotting and hot flashes, etc., then it got further apart, now I skipped June entirely and nothing yet in July.
