Molly - had to take the 1/4 Klonopin at noon today

Hi Molly,

I ended up having to take the 1/4 Klonopin. I wrote to you on the Paxil Side Effects thread yesterday. I told you that was to be my last one at noon during the day, buttt.......
Well, there is always tomorrow!

I am having some spotting. I think it may be the Natural Progesterone cream. I haven't done this before? I will call the compouding pharmacist who makes it on Monday and ask him about it. Of course every time I ask him about a side affect he says no one has ever mentioned having a problem with that!

Oh well, you can read my post to you on the other thread.

Have a great weekend!

Penny

Re: Molly - had to take the 1/4 Klonopin at noon today

Hi Penny,
Sorry, I didn't get around to responding back to you yesterday on the other thread. Hey, IMO, if you had to take 1/4 Klonopin, so be it! Don't worry about it! I know you had your mind set to meet this goal of weaning off of it but if you needed it, you needed it! Look at where you are today in comparison to couple of months ago!! Us peri-women here are going through very rough times! So, don't be hard on yourself! It is ok...

I don't know much about progesterone cream, not using it...maybe Andrea knows something about this. I wouldn't worry too much about the spotting. Seems like it happens to others too. Things are expected to be irregular. Remember, you're (homones!) out of wack so anything can happen or change month to month.

Sorry your babies haven't been feeling well this week. You said it's humid where you are...(glad I'm not there!! LOL!) I don't know about vomiting being part of inhalant allergies....hmmm... do they have this every year during this type of weather?

Also, glad you're "moving around." I really think exercise plays an important role in dealing with anxiety and all this. Get some exercise tapes, do it in the privacy of your own home; you don't have to go to a gym, I know it is hard to get motivated, but once you set your mind on doing it and you see and feel results, I bet you anything you will become addicted. Or, do you dance? No one will see you..pop in some upbeat music....I wasn't feeling good yet but I started off by dancing around the house probably looking silly with my dog with this strong determination to do some kind of exercise and to help fight the symptoms I was still having. Now...don't make me come out to that humid place of yours and twist your arm! LOL!

Never in my life did I ever think peri-meno symptoms would affect so many of us and so badly! But, we will all survive this and when we are little old ladies, we probably won't even remember what have gone through!

Take care and please stay in touch!
Molly

I just hope when we are "little old ladies" we remember where this website is and can see the computer well enough to keep in touch! I did at the advice of my pharmacist client (and friend) start back to .5 mg of the Klonopin yesterday. He said to give it a few more weeks and then try a slower wean on it. My body is still going through so many hormone changes. Last cycle I had that really bad under arm oder I hate! I talked with the compounding pharmacist that makes the natural progesterone cream today. He said not to use it any more for this cycle and see if the spotting stops. I have had mild anxiety attacks yesterday and today, I guess because the hormones are crazy and the blood level of the Klonopin had dropped. Are you doing ok? I know I need to walk more, I want to, it is just something always finds its way into the day and time gets away from me. My babies are much better. Yes, the inhalant allergies have caused the vomiting before.Living on the Gulf Coast we can expect almost anything when it come to weather. Thanks for taking time to respond to me. Have a great week!!

Re: Molly - had to take the 1/4 Klonopin at noon today

Hi Penny,
I'm doing fine! Went to 3 dr. appts. today. Had my physical today...asked to have my FSH tested. Will let you know what the results are. There was a time when my bp would come/go skyrocket high along with these heart palps. Everything seems to be good now; no longer have heart palps and bp was normal. Also went to the dentist to get a cap replaced and a small cavity filled; then went to eye specialist for the dry eye condition I had when all my symptoms first started showing up. At that time, on top of all the peri symptoms I was going thru, I had to deal with blood shot red eyeballs! At that time, I had to put drops in every hour for months! Now eyes are practically normal but dr. still wants me to put drops in 1X/day...still can't wear my contacts so I got to wear my glasses and look like a dork! I should schedule myself for a colonscopy but am putting it for for a couple of months--kind of scared but heard the prep is more difficult than the actual procedure.

Sorry to hear about your BO ....guess it doesn't surprise me that it's just another symptom we women have to go thru! I hate having the anxiety! I would freak, hyperventilate, and pace a lot and taking an anti-anxiety helped me a lot! I listened to these audio tapes to help me relax and deal with the anxiety and internal jitters, teaches you to take deep breaths. Keep taking your Klonopin if you feel you need it - nothing is worse is having anxiety and freaking out.

Have a good week, don't work too hard! Keep active!
Hugs, Molly

Re: Molly - had to take the 1/4 Klonopin at noon today

HI Molly,

Hope you are having a good week and got good reports for all your doc visits. Yes, please let me know the result of your FHS level. Well--- now for the symptom of the week - (drum roll ) Spotting and bleeding since the 16th day of my cycle it is now the 23rd day!? It is normally a dark brown color and requires no tampon. Although a very dear friend of mine lost her husband to a battle with liver diease. He died on Monday. So last night I wore a tampon to the visitation just in case. When I removed it last night after 6 hours it had only a moderate amount on it, not like when I am having my period. Sometimes the dark brown has the normal red color mixed with it. Is this making any sense? I know I am rambling. So, question, have you had this, should I be concerned, should I see the GYN now or wait and see what happens? Anyway I did really well last night, no anxiety from being there or the situation. I just feel sorry for my friend. So today is the funeral and I expect to do as well. I did start back on the Klonopin at .5 mg a day for right now. Still taking the 1mg at night. I want to get to the bottom of the bleeding before I try to wean off again. Well, have to go for now. Glad you are doing well. Thanks for "listening" and for your advice.
Hugs,
Penny

Re: Molly - had to take the 1/4 Klonopin at noon today

Penny,
I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your friend's husband. It is always devastating when someone loses a spouse, a friend, anyone...and such a difficult thing to talk about. My sympathies to you and your friend...

As for your spotting and bleeding and the time period it has been going on - I'm am sure it's nothing to worry about. I, myself, haven't had just spotting nor has it been dark brown color. I do believe somebody on this board was posting the exact same symptom. I know that you're able to do some kind of search for it and I'm sure someone else can help you with this too. Just wondering...isn't it easier to wear pantiliners or pads instead?

I don't think you need to go to your gyn just yet, if at all even. Remember, part of all this peri/menopause stuff includes "irregular" periods. I've experienced not having my period for months to having it and once it lasted 15 days straight (in 2002). Also, I'm proud of you for not having anxiety during the visitation. I don't think it matters if you want to start weanig off the Klonopin while you're spotting. It's two different issues. Just don't get yourself all worked up and anxiety ridden b/c of this spotting. Don't worry about it! You're fine, it seems to be perfectly normal and several other ladies on this board had the same thing. Since you did fine at the visitation, do you keep a log of when you get your anxiety? It might be a good idea to see if there's a pattern of some kind.

I will most definitely let you know what my FSH once I get my results. I asked the young student intern who helped my dr. give me the physical to test it - hope she remembers !! Have to admit, she was extremely thorough.

Take care and hope you have a good day....
Molly

Molly,
Still spotting, but I am going to do as you said and just wait it out for a few days and see what happens with it. I am suppose to start a new cycle on Tuesday. So that should be interesting to see what happens. I wonder if I will just continue right on without a pause? Oh well-- hope you have a great weekend. Keep in touch!
Penny
