breathing

Do any of you go some days where you feel like you can't get enough air in your lungs? I feel somedays like either I have forgot how to breath or am holding my breath without realizing it. The more you think about it the worse it gets.

Re: breathing

Yes, I have had that sensation. Actually, I had it quite a lot of times in the past two years. I haven't had a period for 15 months and thankfully I haven't had the feeling for some time - about 6 months. I believe that it is due to anxiety. Just try to go with it and hopefully it passes. It is scary but it does pass.

Yep, happens to me. That is the anxiety part.

Re: breathing

It sure is annoying. It's a wonder we all aren't nuts.

Jacq, I get those wonderful moments...started last year. They scare the heck out of me. Feels like someone is sitting on my chest. It's a sensation of difficulty drawing a breath. Good grief, I'm surprised we are still alive.

Re: breathing

I did try something that calms me down and makes me realize that it is just anxiety. This will sound weird but everything is kind of weird at this time. My husband had by pass surgery and the hospital gave him an instrument that he had to breath into slowly in order to open his lungs. Well, I took that and did the same thing and was able to realize that my lung capacity was fine. It also slowed my breathing. I suppose you could find one of these contraptions at a medical supplier or you could use a big baloon. Just a thought.
