Has anyone going through meno experienced this syndrome. I think I have. It started suddenly and the roof of my mouth, my lower lip and upper gums just burn. Nothing else appears to be wrong. It seems to be most common in menopausal women. Just another symptom on the list. I think that I could be a textbook example of what symptoms are common in meno. I now have them all.
Anyway, if you have experienced this, what helped?
I have this symptom also. Mine is more with my tongue than the mouth, but like you it started suddenly and is relentless. My dentist suggested a mouthwash called Oxyfresh. It has zinc in it and seems to have helped mine some. I don't know if you can get it over the counter or not. If not, your dentist should be able to hook you up.
I have the burning tongue syndrome too. Sometimes my gums hurt or bleed and I don't have gum disease cause I just got back from the dentist. LOL
I also haven't had a period in two months, so I'm really hung on the anxiety, lol
