Thanks you all!!!

Tell your dr. what symptoms you have been having....have blood work done--get thyroid checked, you can ask to have your FSH, LH, estrogen, DHEA, progesterone and tetestrone tested just to have a baseline, but don't be surprised if they come back "normal" (meaning you're not in menopause). There isn't any test for "peri/pre" meno. I think as you head into meno tho, the test results will show a bit more. I'm 51 and late last year my test FSH and LH were pretty low and with all my symptoms, my dr. couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. Sent me to lots of specialists. Unless you have a women dr. who has gone through this and is really interested in listening and helping you feel better, there isn't much they can do for you. I find the women on these boards are more informative and helpful.
I think you have been posting about your night sweats. What are your other symptoms?
Have a good day! Molly
