Hello Pam. Have you spoken with your doctor about your symptoms? Have you had any blood work done to rule out other possibilities? Decreased libido is definitely one of many perimenopausal symptoms, but certain medications an other ailments can cause this symptom. Find a good....no find an excellent doctor and discuss all your concerns and symptoms.
Nope I haven't had any blood work done.........I am almost emberassed to talk to my doctor about this.I guess I have to break down and just talk to him about it.I was there today and talked to him about my irregular periods and that kind of stuff but I couldn't bring myself to talk to him about my libido or lack of.
Thank you for your advice.

If you dont' feel comfortable with this gyne cause he is male, then find a female gyne. They're great and they will come out and ask you on how your libido is. Normal to lose your sex drive, I lost mine for a good 5 months but it's coming back, cause your hormones will swing all the time. I'm sure I'll lose it again, LOL
Thanks Andrea for your reply........youre right maybe I'll have to find a female doctor,it might be easier to talk to her about these things.I hope I can find one!!!!!! Its really hard to find good doctors were I'm from.
Hi Bunny, it is natural for your sex drive to drop during peri-menapause. Its a great idea to find a female gyn to talk to. Also, there are some beneficial books out there. One I found to be really helpful and user friendly is "Natural woman, natural menpause" by Marcus Laux, N.D. and Christine Conrad.
