NY 1009

I am looking for someone else out there who is having problems with a certain type of ovarian cyst. How long has yours been active and what can I do to get rid of it for good without removing the only ovary I have? Are you having same symtoms as myself? Do you get periods more frequently? etc.
I am at the end of my ropes and I'm scared that with the constant irritation of this cyst it will cause it to become cancerous up the road. Cancer runs in my family( In the reproductive system)
this type of cyst is supposed to dissipate within a certain time in a womans cycle. Mine ISN'T. I've had it for years now. and the radiologist who reads the report always makes a statement of concern and tells the dr. it was there on the previous exam and to make sure I follow up in 6-8 weeks of my cycle.
I just had a laparoscopy for a D&C and other things because of a suspicious Cat Scan report for cervical cancer. it wasn't cancer thank goodness but the dr. told me I do have a hemorphagic cyst and just drained it. she didn't take it OUT! I can't wait to talk to her to find out why she didn't just remove it rather than leaving it in if she knew it would come back. the radiologist is calling it a complex hemorphagic cyst. I thought complex meant it's not fluid filled? I had the surgery back in the beginning of 2004. It's now Sept. and it still hasn't gone away like it's supposed to.
I also have adenomyosis and she found a tiny fibroid. this is why I'm having cramps in most of my monthly cycle. I'm tired of being in pain.
I never thought it would come down to this at my age. I'm all messed up inside and can't do a darn thing to correct it. I'm grouchy all the time, I feel so weak and exhausted and feel like I'm at the beginning of Alzheimers. It's horrible to feel this way at age 44. what the heck am I going to feel like when I'm in my 50's or 60's? you might as well shoot me and now so I stop suffering. why isn't the medical system putting enough research in helping woman like myself? they spend money on everything else.
there are tons of woman out there like myself suffering from gyno problems. especially the increase of ovarian cysts. And there are type's of cysts that can be cancerous in younger woman. it's increasing. At one time it was highly unlikely that any woman would have ovarian cancer before the age of 60. Not anymore.
I don't want to go on harmful birthcontrol pills to stop me from ovualting. There has to be something else out there for woman. maybe the holistic approach? I really needed to vent and I really hope there's someone out there going through the same scenerio.
any advice is appreciated.
