Hi Captain14,
It's normal and common to feel crummy everyday of the month (for several months even and hopefully not for years!

) during the pause. I don't think the world of the medical field realizes how bad this whole menopause thing can be. I can see why women in the old days were put into insitutions! The level of intensity w/of the symptoms are so unbearable! For me, I was pretty much symptom-free during 40's and healthy and strong as an ox but what I went thru when I turned 50 was so unbearable - I just wanted to die! Please keep in mind that this is temporary, that it will go away. Can't say how long it will last for you b/c it's different for everyone. My mom said she went thru it 52 so with me, the timing was pretty much right on time. If you know when your mom/sisters went thru it, you might get a better idea on how long you will have to be dealing w/all this crap. Hang in there and take one day at a time!
Do hope you will start feeling better soon!
molly
