| Re: Molly, Happy Birthday
Hi Molly,
Thanks for your sweet post!! Yes, I did remember your birthday as you mentioned we were both Aries, so yes "the old bonker" does seem to be working well and in my case sometimes...too too overactive!! LOL!! (with the anxiety I mean!! it definitely has been working overtime on that!! LOL!!)
Thanks for telling me to join in anytime even if it is a post just to a particular person. I do feel that everyone is a friend on here also as we all know what we are going thru and either are going thru it or have been there.
You mentioned Penny and I recognize her name from I am sure a few of my posts from last year or this year and she is one of the many , as with you, that have helped out. I know we do not all really "know" each other, but oftentimes I have thought of someone on this board just by name and that they were going thru the same thing and it does help.
I too wish there was someway to "ZAP" my anxiety!! Thanks!! I am doing a bit better this week and trying. I think the thing that upsets me the most is my setback this year after 8 or 9 months of not dealing with all this. Reading posts that I posted from May on last year I seemed to be so much more on the upswing with things. But I also know from reading posts that everyone has had setbacks and also have been going thru this on and off as long as me.
As far as the colonoscopy, I am sure you might have read it is still not even covered fully for routine and although as someone pointed out in that thread one does not want to go just when there is a symptom of course, the fact is it is preventative and a lot of insurance plans do not cover it fully at this age. I talked at great length with someone in the benefits dept at the clinic where I will have it done , when I go, and she said that many come in , in their mid 50s , and that age 50 is a guideline. It is common that insurance companies often do not cover it and it is a lot out of pocket until they do. She also went thru symptoms with me which helped calm me. I know, as a person said, in the thread it is not like one wants to wait till we get one of those of course. But it is helpful to know and also to know that there are alot more people than just me that are fearful of one thing or another and wait till they are more calm or can get a handle on their anxiety better. I know whenever I go I will be anxious for certain as I am with other tests , but this kind of anxiety is not normal for me at all. If it was covered fully I would rather go and just get it over with at times!!
I am trying though as far as th anxiety and seem to be doing a bit better this week with taming it. Hope it continues!!
Thanks again for posting to me, always enjoy hearing from you and you are always a help.
