Molly, Happy Birthday

Molly, it's been ages since I have been here, but if I remember correctly, today is your birthday. So Happy Birthday dear friend.

Peri symproms are still around, but not as bad as last year. Yet still strong enough to make me miserable. Last period was in the middle of January. But, my body is still ovulating and everything else without the period. Plus I'm under lots of stress right now; my mom was diagnosed with cancer.

Talk to you later.

Re: Molly, Happy Birthday

Cat,

I know you left this for Molly, but when I saw your name I remembered talking to you via this board and that you had not posted in awhile. So I was glad to see you and had to respond. hope you do not mind.

I am so sorry to hear about your Mom and know that this has to be a very difficult time. My heart goes out to you.

Last your wrote you were going thru a lot of very hard to deal with peri symptoms and said you were not wanting to post anymore. I don't know if you got to read any of the posts left to you after that but I know we were all concerned. I totally relate as others do as although my worse peri symtpoms were earlier last year...the anxiety has gotten really bad this year too recently for me and i hate it. (same time as last year, like a yearly occurrence for some reason) and I have had a hard time coping lately with it. They may not be as bad as earlier last year but as you said, it is still strong "enough to make me miserable" at times. It is like I am always in a pre period state and with the anxiety being a major thing mainly.

I guess I just wanted to say hello to you and wanted you to know that I have thought of you often and hoped you were doing well and would post again. I know that with what you are going thru with your Mom you are under even more stress along with being in peri which brings its own stress and just want you to know that if you ever want to talk i know we are all here to listen.

Take care,

rmc

Re: Molly, Happy Birthday

Hey Cat and RMC,
Thank you so much for the birthday greeting! I am really touch and impressed that you remember the date! At least you both know that the old bonker is working! LOL! Anyway, I don't celebrate my birthday (even tho everyone else seems to!), because it reminds me how old I'm getting! yikes!! Anyway, thanks again!

Cat - I am so sorry to hear about your mom! A big {{{{{hug }}}}!! Please know that we are here if you need to talk. Hang in there, be strong and be positive! It really seems like us baby boomers are going through a lot of stressful times in our lives now - with our own health issues as well as our parents and other family members. Life can be the pits sometimes! I really miss you! I am glad though that you're feeling a bit better than last year or since your last post. We all left you a post - I'll try to find it and get it back on top of this board. Please stay in touch! I care what is going on with you!!

RMC - please don't feel you can't make a reponse even if a post is address to one of us directly!! We are all friends so join in anytime - don't feel you can't! You should meet Penny who also posts to me - you have always been supportive and encouraging and not afraid to post what you're going through! I really wish there's a way to zap your anxiety!

Hugs to you both,
molly

Re: Molly, Happy Birthday

Hi Molly,

Thanks for your sweet post!! Yes, I did remember your birthday as you mentioned we were both Aries, so yes "the old bonker" does seem to be working well and in my case sometimes...too too overactive!! LOL!! (with the anxiety I mean!! it definitely has been working overtime on that!! LOL!!)

Thanks for telling me to join in anytime even if it is a post just to a particular person. I do feel that everyone is a friend on here also as we all know what we are going thru and either are going thru it or have been there.

You mentioned Penny and I recognize her name from I am sure a few of my posts from last year or this year and she is one of the many , as with you, that have helped out. I know we do not all really "know" each other, but oftentimes I have thought of someone on this board just by name and that they were going thru the same thing and it does help.

I too wish there was someway to "ZAP" my anxiety!! Thanks!! I am doing a bit better this week and trying. I think the thing that upsets me the most is my setback this year after 8 or 9 months of not dealing with all this. Reading posts that I posted from May on last year I seemed to be so much more on the upswing with things. But I also know from reading posts that everyone has had setbacks and also have been going thru this on and off as long as me.

As far as the colonoscopy, I am sure you might have read it is still not even covered fully for routine and although as someone pointed out in that thread one does not want to go just when there is a symptom of course, the fact is it is preventative and a lot of insurance plans do not cover it fully at this age. I talked at great length with someone in the benefits dept at the clinic where I will have it done , when I go, and she said that many come in , in their mid 50s , and that age 50 is a guideline. It is common that insurance companies often do not cover it and it is a lot out of pocket until they do. She also went thru symptoms with me which helped calm me. I know, as a person said, in the thread it is not like one wants to wait till we get one of those of course. But it is helpful to know and also to know that there are alot more people than just me that are fearful of one thing or another and wait till they are more calm or can get a handle on their anxiety better. I know whenever I go I will be anxious for certain as I am with other tests , but this kind of anxiety is not normal for me at all. If it was covered fully I would rather go and just get it over with at times!!

I am trying though as far as th anxiety and seem to be doing a bit better this week with taming it. Hope it continues!!

Thanks again for posting to me, always enjoy hearing from you and you are always a help.
