Tip for Night Sweats and Sleep Problems

Hi All-

I don't know if this will work for you, but I am now taking a Magnesium and Calcium Supplement (3 horse pills per night) and Evening Primrose Oil (3 500 mg pills per night) just before bed and my sleeping and night sweats and hot flashes have improved a lot. It is like a small miracle and can be gotten at a health food store. The brand I got is "NOW", but probably any brand you find is worth a try.

This menopause stuff is a nightmare and the drop in hormones is really dangerous and debilitating. I've been doing lots of reading and talking to lots of doctors, holistic as well as conventional, and even a compounding pharmacist. I think with, (though am not yet on) bio-identical hormones you can get back quality of life with a minimum of side effects and long term health dangers. I hope to start these within the next month, once the hormones from my birth control pills are out of my system and I can be retested for levels and dosing.

I am happy to give more information to anyone else seeking. I am 40 years old and have very little progesterone or Estrodial at this time, and it has been really taking a terrible toll on my life. I also have a very energetic 2-year old boy who needs a healthy mom, so I am constantly pursuing relief from the misery of menopause!

how long did it take for the pills to work cos I will try almost anything at this moment in time

It worked the first night! Try it. Its not the deepest sleep you ever had in your life, but it is a lot better than it was.
