| Post-Menopausal Weight Gain
Hello everyone,
I was just wondering if this is typical? I've been very fortunate and haven't had a weight problem, even throughout peri I was able to maintain by just being careful not to overdo what I eat and do some exercise. Well, now I am 2 years post-meno and I'm really struggling. I've increased my walking from 2 miles to 4 miles a day, but exercise doesn't seem to have as much of an effect as food (though I continue to exercise for the other benefits.) But it seems as though if I eat just enough so that I am hungry all day, I can keep my weight where I want it. If even for 3 or 4 days I eat just enough so that I am not hungry (trust me, not overeating, just so that I'm not sitting here with hunger pangs all day) I immediately gain a couple, and all in my tummy where it is so unattractive and uncomfortable. Is this how it's going to be from now on? I will have to stay hungry the rest of my life to keep my weight under control?
