Wow! Can I relate to that! I had a "heckofa" day going thru those same symptoms. Mine is constant too. It used to start out about 2 years ago with just some night sweats. Hot flashes have increased during the day. It used to be about 3 hot flashes a day and nite sweats waking me up twice a night.
Now, it's about 6-7 a nite, with about 1-2 every hour of the day. My face turns "bright red" with sweat dripping off my face (so much for wearing foundation to hide my rosacea) and my hair is dripping wet. It's embarassing as heck. And with this hot summer and it's lingering this fall (they are talking 90's next week) anyone can look at me and ask me if I'm going to be ok.
Plus where I work we must wear long black pants, socks and shoes, and white shirts with a black vest over that and hairnets or black hats.
I got home from work tonight and took a cold shower and yes an hour later my face is still beet red and all I am wearing is a t-shirt. My hubby is going nuts trying to figure whether to keep the doors and windows open (he's freezing). I'll wake up all night and turn the air on as cold as I can get it, my fanny sticking out in the wind from 2 fans blowing on me...God help us menopausal women.
Since I am a smoker, my Doc will not let me take HRT and told me to take Black Cohosh Root. I picked up a bottle today at Walmart (6 bux for 200 caps). I took one pill already and am hoping this will help me. (It also is supposed to aid sleep). Maybe I can get thru one night without sweats and get some sleep. Then maybe tomorrow I can get thru the day w/o a hot flash.
Coping, I am coping too. Sounds as if we both got it bad. My face is so red....funny thing is red was always my favorite color.
