weird periods - Menopause Message Board

can anyone help me?
i am in peri and after my periods, which have become very heavy and painful, i seem to have another period with all the symptoms of bad pms,stomach cramps, leg cramps, headaches,bad anxiety, but no bleed?
this happens the day after my bleeding stops with my period and lasts for about another 5 days.
anyone else have this problem or knows what is causing it?

Sounds like your ovulation is off. I've read many ladies complain of aches in the ovaries as if they are trying their darndest to ovulate and complete their jobs, some months successfully and other months anovulatory.
Heavy bleeding is a sure sign of anovulatory cycles...I bet anything the month before was anovulatory and your ovaries are in high gear to try again. I'm not a doc, but this seems to be a common complaint here.

thanks for your replies
i cant take ad medication as it makes my symptoms worse, i try to exercise but it is difficult when you have no energy and dont feel like doing anything.
i am having a mirena coil put in next week as my gynae says it will help with the heavy bleeding and also the pms cramps.
i am so fed up with all these symptoms and cant wait for it all to be over
my mum went through meno at 50 and i am 49 so maybe i dont have to wait too long
