I'll bet your doctor also only tested TSH, right? TSH could be in normal range, it is your free T3 and free T4 that could be out of whack. See if you could possibly convince them to test that as well. And as kittenlover said, the ranges for TSH have changed as well, though many (most!) doctors still go by the old ones.
Perimenopause also causes "crashing fatigue" so that could be it as well.
And as already said, there's also lots of cold/flu going around now, could be just a combination of things. But if you don't have or do not get other cold-like symptoms, I'd consider getting a more complete thyroid workup. If that still all comes out okay, then it probably is just the fatigue of menopause. It does get better.
