Trouble with h.r.t - Menopause Message Board

Can some one please help. I've reciently been diognoised with early menopause and although I haven't suffered as badly as some of my fellow women i'm getting migrains from Kliogest. The dr says its the right one but are the headaches normal? I've been on the same dose for 4 mths.all mt other mild symptions have gone and the blood tests show the medication is right but the migrains are worse than the symptions of menopause PLEASE ANY ADVICE IS APPRECIATED. Thanks

Headache is a side effect of Kliogest. Talk to your doctor, surly there is another med that will not have side effects worse than the ailment being treated for.

my g.p has said kliogest is the strongest one and has doubled my dose because it wasn't working. the headaches are basilar migrains and as you know theres not much to treat them without preventive meds. should i get a second oppinion ??

I've had no symptoms, with the HRT patch, which you change twice weekly. I'm in the U.S. I think there is only one brand, and it's low dose.

can you get a migraine medication? Such as imitrex?
