Is congestion a part of peri? - Menopause Message Board

Just within this last couple of weeks my nose is just stuffed. If I don't spay decongestant in my nose before bed, I will wake with one sinus totally stuffed. This is new to me. I don't suffer badly from any allergies so I don't think that's it. It almost feels like how my nose would stuff up during pregnancy. But that I thought was due to fluid retention.

Anyone else out there dealing with nose/sinus issues you think might be related to peri?

Hi Tia,

Could it be just the cold? I think I'm going thru peri, although my doctor doesn't think so... he's not experiencing my symptoms.... but that's beside the point. Maybe it's just cold or allergies. I don't have a stuffed up nose.

You know that stuffy or runny nose thing. Let me tell you, I was very prone to allergies when I was kid and throughout adulthood it calmed down tremendously. But since I've officially entered perimenopause for quite some years now, my God, my nose, sinus problems and bronchitis/asthma. Yes, i think that changes of hormones coz allergies and more!
