See, I forgot to check this part of the board. LOL
I know this sucks, but it's part of our system. I am writing a lot down now, and like you, I used to remember everything. I don't know how long this is supposed to last, but from what the other ladies on the board had said, it could last up to 10 years.
Yep, 10 whole years! LOL
I think attitude is a big part of this. As much as I hate this change of life and I'm dreading more possible changes, I am going to try to take it in stride. I figured, it's nature of telling our bodies that we're going on the 3rd phase. As for pills, I'd say try to minimize it because our grandparents went through menopause without pills, I'm sure we can manage. I am drinking & eating more soy based food such as edame. Love to snack on them. But be carefuly about eating soy, it could raise your cholesterol level. Also, I've increased my exercise regimen. My dress size went down to size 4 (I'm 5'7") which is not my plan UGH. I want my size 6 back and I toned down on my weight training because I know doing weights increases your metabolism. And I'm eating more carbs! LOL Also, on the days I exercise, I noticed that my sleep is much deeper and I don't wake up in the middle of the night.
Just a few tips to share with you since we're both on the same boat.
