| Re: Why do we get up so many times for potty?
Hi Pixiek,
Since frequent urination during the night is one of my most troublesome symptoms, I have been reading about it on the internet. Apparently, during perimenopause the lining of the bladder and urethra gets thinner, and both get smaller as well, so we can't hold as much urine. I read that it has to do with the pooling of the blood during the day. At night, when we go to bed and are lying down, the need to urinate is more frequent. I get up at least 4 times every night, and I rarely feel rested the next day, and I work full-time. I keep hoping and praying that this symptom will calm down soon!
I hope the same for you--have a good day!!
