For me, it was when my periods started going the other way. For a long time they were heavy and long. Then they changed to lighter and missing about every 3 months or so. That only happened for about a year and then they ended. I went 1 1/2 years and then had one that seemed pretty normal and was afraid they had returned but they didn't. I haven't had any since and that was well over a year ago. I have to warn you ladies, even when the periods end, I still experienced meno problems and still do to some degree. Hot flashes/night sweats have been very difficult to get rid of. Simple changes seem to bring them back at times. I would atleast get on an OTC natural supplement if you can. Estroven worked for a little while for me. I have now found another supplement called Power Surge Active Women's Multi, and I add High Gamma Vit E (mixed Tocopherols) and green tea capsules. I try to stay away from hot drinks and I wear short sleeve shirts and shorts. Once you choose a path, stick with it. Change only brings the hot flashes back, even temporarily...atleast for me, it has. My biggest problem is that I have a TC cholersterol of 334 and need statin medication. Every time I try to take it, my hot flashes come back again. I think you can have them to different degrees

and mine can be horrific! So, I am trying to lower my cholesterol naturally now. I hope it works!
