I was wondering...IF (and when) you lost your sex drive or had less of a sex drive?? was in during the peri-menopause stage --or-- when you hit full menopause?
I'm peri-m right now and have not experience too much of a "lack of"..... or any dryness and I'm wondering what others have experience and at what point?
I was fine till I hit full menopause a few years ago. I can honestly say I don't seem to have any interest in sex now, when I go to bed I just want to sleep as I'm always so tired these days

I do find that my drive now is directly related to where I am in my cycle. I have little desire during the first couple of weeks of my cycle but during the last two, I get all the regular urges back.
I have the interest, but not the energy. My poor, but patient (thank goodness) husband - he'll start teasing me during the day, and I fully intend to follow through, but once night time comes, I poop out. I still have a 10 year old at home, so spur of the moment is not usually possible.
Also, I think I've just started experiencing a bit of 'dryness' - hope it doesn't get worse.
Thanks for the replies! some positive notes posted and not too scary. I have heard horror stories about being "all dried up" and "never having any desire"
Today, I went to the Doc. ref. a missed period and she said the blood work did not show my FSH elevated so I would probably continue to have my period (a sorta hit and miss thing) for a while.
She is going to do another FSH in 6 months and see where I am at.
I also asked her the "changes in sex drive" question and she said MANY females never loose it, bur some do because of being so tired, feeling bad and pain during sex. But, for me not to worry, if I had a happy relationship now, that did not have to chang later.
ALSO - I was told that when females DO loose the desire, its usually when they are in full blown menopause (at least 1 year since a period)
