I have been perimenopausal for 2 years now. In the beginning period went 17 days, skipped a couple months, been heavy, been light. Since february I have had a normal period every month. I do notice it slowing down about the 3rd day, then starting up heavyish and bright red blood then ending normally. When this comes on, I get a slight headache, anyone else experience this? Thank you
I am also perimenopausal and my periods are unpredictable and all over the map. Sometimes light, sometimes terribly heavy with the clots, and sometimes I'll skip a couple of months. I have a history of migraines and have had them under control on preventive medicine for years. For the past 2 years,i will get a horrible frontal headache right before or at the beginning of a period. My doctor says it is definitely because of the big hormonal fluctuations that occur during perimenopause. Good Luck!
I used to get a HORRIBLE almost migraine like headache in the middle of my flow when it kinda stopped, it wouldn't go away until the flow started up again. I haven't had that symptom for a few months now <knock wood>. Hope I'm not jinxing myself here!! Got enough of the other symptoms to keep me more than busy.
