| Re: Urethral Caruncle after menopause
Hi Sally,
I am a newbie on this website and saw your post about the urethral caruncle. I just discovered what I think is the exact thing you have described, except that I am 59. I felt some irritation and looked to see if I could see any redness or anything and there it was -- it looks like a small raspberry coming out of the urethral opening. So, now I have to make an appointment with the doctor which I plan on doing tomorrow. I did some research and it appears pretty common. I read that first they try the Estrogen Cream and then I guess if it's still bothersome they can excise it surgically.
I'm wondering where you've had this back in 2006 and it's now June of 2007, if you've had it shrink with the estrogen or if you've gone back to the Urologist for more treatment.
I await your reply.
