Hi everyone,

I haven't posted in a while. I still have days where I feel just awful. It is so hard dealing with all these peri symptoms. For about two weeks, I have had a light brown discharge, with a little bleeding now and then, but mostly the brown stuff. Does anyone else have this? I start to feel a little worried about it and think I should call my doctor, but I just wonder if this is a normal part of peri...?? I know that the uterus is "shedding" big time during this transition, but if someone else is having this, then I won't feel quite as anxious about it.

I see quite a few new ladies here--welcome to you all! This is a very supportive board!

Any responses will be most appreciated--have a good Saturday!!

I get the brownish spotting during my period. I think it's normal. Try not to worry. The color varies depending on how "old" the blood is- some just takes longer to exit the body. That's how I understand it. Hope that helps.

Hi Viktik,

I have had that brownish stuff too. And my gyn too said it is old blood. For awhile (about 2 years ago) I was getting that pretty regularly where I'd get my period but then for a week later that brown discharge , and then it would fade. Haven't had that since then but during that time it was a pretty common symptom for me.

I also read a fair amount on here during that time that others were having it too. So hope this helps you as it did me.
