I discovered "Soy Care", natural soy capsules available at pharmacies (CVS, Snyder's, etc.) [Walgreen's is discontinuing this from their shelves] Anyway, it suppresses my hot flashes and I do not have to suffer from them. I also take natural progesterone from a natural compounding pharmacy and have a pretty good balance going here for menopause. I had tried soy milk, unsweetened, and that was helpful, but was adding vanilla extract and equal to it. Soy Care is just plain convenient! Natural, And not synthetic!
As with taking any plant estrogens/isoflavones....keep your yearly gyn. exams.
P.S.--my periomenopausal hot flushes were my face turning beat red like I was embarrassed. My menopausal hot flashes are Heat Waves that radiate from the neck up to the top of my head. Maybe some sweating, then actually getting cool or cold as my body cools itself down. But the soy takes care of all that. Now to work on that anxiety!
