I got put on premarin 4 months ago. It took about 6 weeks to take effect. The hot flashes and sweats eased from 20 a day to about 2 a day.
Two weeks ago, I start all over again like I had never started HRT. What the heck is this all about. I am ready to suck and ice box

I haven't died yet but sometime I wish. My hot flashes are horrible and last almost an hour!!!!

It seems like your body really likes the estrogen. Sometimes our bodies get use to the estrogen and scream for more.

Talk to your doctor.

WOW I feel for you. I suffered from hot flashes

this summer, they came every hour on the hour it was awful. My doctor put my on an estrogen patch, Vivelle. I hardly ever get a hot flash now, its wonderful. Now he also put me on progestrone, Prometrium which I haven't started yet. Have you been on prgestrone and please tell me how you felt on it and how soon after taking pills did your period start.

Not sure what progeserone is. I am on premarin. I dont know the difference of any of these myself.
I only know it is not cutting it. I just got out of the hospital with pneumonia so some of the meds I am on could be a play in it, but it was bad before I went into the hospital. I also have quit smoking and I am about to loose my mind. I am good. It is all good. It is good.........
