Spotting - Menopause Message Board

Hi,
This is my first time visiting these boards.
I haven't had a period in about fifteen months. I'm 55 years old & assumed I was through with my periods. Yesterday, I found a few red spots on my panties but have had no sign of bleeding since. Two weeks ago I experienced a vaginal discharge of several days duration, typical of that that used to accompany ovulation. In addition, I've been sick for a week with a respiratory infection.
I'd love to hear some input as to what might be going on.

Haven't had a period in over a year and for the past couple of weeks I have been having "ovulation discharge". Nipples are very sore as well. And some lower abdominal crampling like you get before your period starts. I am also wondering if this is anything typical of menopause.

.They say after you go through menopause it takes a good 3-5 yrs to get all harmones straighten back out ......... what little harmones we have left.., [ lol ]........ Dee
