I am 33 but have gained a lot of weight, stopped having periods, am having night sweats, have a dry itchy scalp, and I am very moody. Does this sound like menopause?

....sounds to me your headed down that dreaded peri-menopuse stage........ sit back and enjoy the ride...{ lol }.......it's usually a long bumpy ride....but we all travel it together... good luck on your journey and God's speed .... Dee

Sounds like PCOS to me. It would be extremely unusual to be going thru menopause at your age. Go see your doctor for some labwork.

Hi:

I was going to say PCOS as well. Another possibility to thryoid disfunction. I would see a doctor and get a panel done since thyroid can definitely be managed and PCOS can be helped with diet and exercise changes. You seem a little young to be going through meno but a doctor can tell you for sure.
