Endocrinologist What Should I Expect
I have my appointment on April 2nd which I made in January but that was the next available (I cannot wait). Just wondering if this is where they check your estrogen levels etc. Can anyone share experience? I just hope they find something!!!! I never been to one just wondering what/how they test.....

Well, when I went to one for thyroid issues years ago, they checked every hormone my body produces, seems. They drew 9 vials of blood. That's just what they do, generally.

If you were just getting your female ones done, I would have thought your Gyn would have done them. Or whoever sent you there. Is there a special reason you are seeing an Endo?

I have posted under "Help! Feeling Strange", I have been through all kinds of test from heart monitor, tons of blood test (Everything came back great) + anxiety medication which did not work and my primary doctor does not know what is wrong with me so he told me to see an Endocrinolgist.

Hot flashes, my hands perspire, unbalanced feeling etc... I really hope the Endocrinologist will find something! I have never been to one but I am hoping that the day I go they will find something where I don't have to wait for results to come in - This has been going on for 3 years now. I am 38, no children, get my periods every 21 days which last 3 to 4 days....

God I really don't know what to do if they don't find something.

I just read your other posts. I just wonder if you might be having panic attacks? Has your Dr. mentioned anything like that to you? They can manifest themselves like you describe and make life miserable.

I do hope you get some answers from your Endo in any case. Come back and let us know what he says.
