Anxiety, Chest pains or Hot flashes?? - Menopause Message Board

Beginning menopause @ 53 years of age. I do not smoke or drink alcohol. I have recently however had long intervals of a "pressing" type of chest discomfort, not necessarily pain. I wonder if this is anxiety or the "horrible hot flashes" I have heard of all my life. Anyone else have chest discomfort that is tolerable, and not on one side or the other or other symptoms someone would associate with a heart problem?

I also have the chest pressure (almost in the middle of the chest). I think that it is related to menopause, but you might want to get it checked out just to be sure it isn't something else.

I've recently had an ekg and a stress test which came out fine so I'm just chalking it up to menopause and/or anxiety.
