I am 52 started peri about aged 50. Started with hot flushes one after the other, exhausting, then I have chills. Sometimes just chills. I have an under active thyroid but it is not the same coldness so presume it's all in the hormones I am not on any medication....yet!

Unhappy Re: chills with menopause

I, too, am having chills with my menopause. First I get a hot flash that I don't think will ever end, and renders me useless. When I put a fan on me or lay down near the air conditioning, I immediately get massive chills. My doctor's will not let me take any hormone therapy due to a history of blood clots so I am doing this natural. I am on some anti-depressant at night to help with the night sweats (it's not helping) and then taking Promisil and some other otc but nothing is helping. I was taking soy tablets but it gave me too much gas! Help!
