any suggestions for energy?

Just curious, how many people read here, but don't post....

And then think... damn, that board doesn't get much response?


LOL. Is anyone just too damn tired to post?


Seriously, the lack of energy has me so down. I WANT to exercise, do more, actually GET OUT, but I just don't feel like it I am so tired all the time..... any suggestions for energy?

Misty..I am with you, especially the week of my period...I am so tired I could sleep for the entire day. My doctor said that I am in perimenopause and that this could last as long as 10 years. I can't seem to lose this weight that I have gained and I am just not the same person that I was! Some months I bleed lightly, some months I feel like I am bleeding to death and NOW my newest thing is that I have a period and then I spot until I have my next period. Maybe not every day, but many days!!!
I have so many more symptoms that I don't think there is enough room to list them all!!!! I have at least 30 of the 39 typical symptoms. Anyway, enough of that stuff...Just don't feel alone, I think we all feel the same way! I am 45 and I will go crazier if I have to feel this way for 10 years~~~

Hey, I am with you guys. If anyone can help us to get some energy it would be great.
I have been so tired the past few weeks as I keep waking up every hour on the hour getting hot flushes.
Please don't tell me I have to put up with this for another 10years.
I have been feeling so down the past few days I don't know if it is because of the lack of sleep, headaches, back pain, cramps or starting menopause or simply because I am so TIRED.

Hi Ladies,
I'm yawning as I write this - and I'm at work right now. I have found that as much as I dread it, exercise does help. I go to the YMCA and take a cycle class, and I do feel much better when I stick with it. I do this after work in the evening, and there are times that I really don't want to go, but I force myself. Many times I'm quite tired while I'm waiting for the previous class to finish and wish I had stayed home.

It feel good while I'm doing it, and for the next day or so. I try to go 2-3 times a week. I think more would be better, but working full time with a family, I'm lucky to go at all.
When I first started this 2 years ago, I did loose about 15 pounds, but now I have leveled off and gained some back. It also helps my anxiety also - at least for a little while.

I tend to agree the lack of energy really is a problem, when I get tired I tend to just rest. Although, I agree exercise would help, I just need the time and the motivation to do it.

Being back at work, doesn't make it easy, I'm 46yrs of age, and my daughter suggested I retire from work, LOL.....!

My reply was, "I feel old enough, and you're suggesting I retire"!!!!!!

I suppose I have to see the funny side of it though.
