I took Black Cohosh for night sweats for 4 years. BUT, it HAS to say on the label Black Cohosh "40 mg. Standardized" if it doesn't say standardized or if it is different MG. it is the wrong stuff and won't work (has to do with the part of the plant and the controled dosage).
I stopped taking it once to see if they had gone away naturally...they came back within 48 hours...I went back to the cohosh and they went away again...they were not always gone...but at least mild (meaning if I had some they lasted a matter of a minute or 2)
Also, I take 1000 mg. Cal with 500 mg.Magnesium with Vit. D which is total in 6 capsules, so I take 1 in am...2 afternoon and 3 at bedtime...also Centrum Silver since I am post-meno.
