Sorry to say, it is part of the process. It is considered Peri-Menopause until you have gone 1 year without your period and many women have gone 10 months only to have it come on again. So you are not alone, just frustrating though.

I know how you are feeling. It would have been 12 months for me this month and I went and got a period too. I thought that was the last I had seen of my periods and just starting to sleep better too. Hot flashes have subsided. I will likely make a doctor's appointment when the bleeding stops. I'm a wimp when it comes to going to the doctor but better safe than sorry. Keep in touch.
