My waistline is just a bowl of jelly. I can't hide in the summer like in the winter by putting on a big coat or sweater.

Anyone else hate the weight issues of menopause?

Oh ya, I hate it. I to would like to hide under a huge sweater during the summer but know I can't.

they do some nice, loose, summery tops though and i've found these hide a multitude of sins. the style over here at the moment is for 'princess line' which has a seam just below the boobs, and also for some tops which look like pregnancy smocks. i just went out and treated myself to a few and they're pretty good at hiding an ample tummy/waist/hip line.
go on,treat yourself - you're worth it!!

I ask that question everyday myself...I have tried fitting those empire waist type of blouses but my boobs sit too low, thats frustrating....I have actually bought a few maternity tops that were cute and on sale at Walmart but am scared of being recognized and asking me if I am expectin!!! that would be embarrassing...LOL The budda belly is the worst for me

i'm the same. back or front view is not so bad, but if i turn sideways the tummy looms into view about 2 inches before the rest of me. the last couple of years i've had to buy tops 2 sizes bigger to accomodate it, which means they're too big across the shoulders and boobs. if i was any sort of a needlewoman i'd alter them to fit properly, but i'm not so i just put up with it.
i don't think anyone would mistake me for a pregnant lady....they'd only have to look at the grey hair and wrinkles!
