Hello
Can anyone recommend the use of the Mirena IUD to help reduce heavy
periods??? Are there any bad side effects??? I would be grateful of any
advice here.

hi i have been also just given the choice of this plus the ablation removal of the womb lining i deeply sympathize its horrid i have had bad bleeding for along time and nealry had to have transfusion i did have a very bad misscaridge about 6 years ago and its all gone wrong i have a fibroid and bulky uterus yuk what is causing your he

Hi Kat....Thankyou for your kind reply....I feel lost at present and still battling with thyroid issues. I haven't had an ultra sound as yet. I put my period problems down to hormone changes of my age group lol...I am 46. I take iron when I remember, mostly everyday. I am not really keen on the IUD idea at all....I get side effects from everything, I am so sensitive.
