Anyone taking DIM?

Hi Everyone! How are you? I'm hoping well :-)

I was wondering about the supplement DIM - it is to help balance you I guess and increase the good estrogen while lower the bad estrogen - has anyone on the board tried it? What kind of effects did it have on you? How long did it take to start feeling the effects? I just started progestrone cream about 10 days ago after being in menopause for about 3 years - not really feeling much better yet but they do say it takes time! :-) I just can't seem to get over the sweet cravings, weight gain, and the fatigue I have with menopause! I'm hoping DIM will help - any ideas or thoughts?

Thanks all and have a good day :-)

Re: Anyone taking DIM?

Hello,

I started taking DIM about two weeks ago. Haven't noticed any changes, so far (I have facial hair, so I'm hoping the DIM will help with this). I also started using the progestacare cream and my hot flashes are much better. My insomnia was better for a while, but I did wake up last night and couldn't go back to sleep until around 3-3:30 a.m.

I'm excited about the DIM, although I did read that Myo Inositol is supposed to be better. I'm going to keep taking the DIM until I've used up the bottle, and then I'm going to start taking the Inositol and probably L-tryptophan. My only problems are the insomnia and the facial hair, so far. From reading some of these posts, I think I'm doing a lot better than some.
