Hello Everyone,
My name is Becky(54 yrs old and ts been about 1 and 1/2 years since my last period) I am posting for the fiirst time...came across this wonderful site while searching for infomation about UTi's and the recent spottin I have had.....hope someone can offer their stoy or some insight!! Need to talk to someone...I am scared!!! Long story short...I came back form a overseas trip a month ago..put off going to the dr even though I had bad UTI symptoms...finally went and she did a culture and sure enough it was WICKED bad she said...I thought it might be my LARGE fibrods pressing on my bladder which has happened before and cause UTI symptoms...got some Cipro which I had a bad reaction to and then Bactrim which did work..so started to self-medicate with a some amoxicillin which I had a new scrip for that I took with me overseas just in case I got sick...anyway she did another culture which was neg because I was on the amoxicillin ...she then gave me cephalexin which worked well to take away the HORRIBLE back ache and pelvic bladder pain and I stopped peeing ever 10 seconds!! well just this sunday I was feeling so much better but noticing a "funny" feeling in my virgina..and some burning 2...then I spotted some pinkish discharge several times sunday and then once today...I am having the bad bladder pressure again and peeing all the time...sometimes lots sometimes a drop...called my gyno and was told not to worry since it was not bright red blood...I wanted to be seen right away but was told just to keep the appointment I had already set up already on the 18th ....thinking of returning to my regular MD tomorrow and she what she says.... this pressure and pelvic is really getting to me ...especially after almost being over it!! any ideas out there or stories???
