| Is this related to menopause?
I am 48 years old. My periods have been very irregular this whole year. I didn't have my period for about 6 months and then recently I had 2 periods that were pretty heavy.
I've had abdominal pain for a while. I had it for about 1-2 months and then it went away for 3-4 months. Now I have abdominal pain again, almost every day. The location of the pain varies. Sometimes it is in the lower abdomen , sometimes it is much higher up, under the rib cage. I've had ovarian cysts in the past and also uterine fibroids.
I had my annual physical about 2-3 months ago and the doctor said that he can't feel anything unusual when examining my abdomen.
Does the above sound as if it could be related to peri menopause?
