A Little Staining Post-Menopausal?

Hi, everyone . . . been away for a while. Will be getting a Pap test in March but wondered in the mean time.

52 and pronounced post-menopausal (99.3 FSH) by my doctor in August. Stopped Depo-Provera shots (was supposed to get one November 10th and did not).

This morning and January 4th saw a little bit of staining, just one occurrence each day, and wondering if this is normal or if something is seriously wrong.

Any ideas would be helpful.

Re: A Little Staining Post-Menopausal?

I don't know if I would jump to the conclusion that anything is seriously wrong. Especially that you didn't get your Depo shot could have done something to you hormonally to cause the light staining. My sister was totally through meno - hadn't had a period for over a year but was having some menopause symptoms. She started using estrogen cream that you just get at the health food store and it caused her to have a light period.

It's good you're getting checked out, but if we've learned anything about menopause and perimenopause, nothing is ever a sure bet. All bets are off. Frustrating for sure!
