I know I am going through menopause due to my period being very crazy, the hot flashes at night, and I guess the one symptom that has me concerned is my breasts are very tender and sore. I just had a period and usually after that, the soreness goes away but it is not. I am wondering if it is hormonal with menopause having the sore breasts. Does anyone else have this symptom? They seemed to have gotten larger and they are just so sore. I just had a mammogram.
Like most women, I had cyclical breast tenderness all my life. It did get a bit worse when I started peri, but my main issues were the hot flashes, night sweats and anxiety. I started on HRT last summer, and that’s when the pain in my breasts got really bad. It even hurt to shower, and would actually wake me up when I rolled over at night.
Things have gotten much better since I quit HRT about a month ago. But then again, I’ve heard others say that HRT helped relieve them of breast pain, so I guess everyone’s different.
I started using a progesterone cream when my breasts started hurting so badly. It truly does take three months for the balancing, but it completely worked for me. I hope you get some relief!
I am 51 and always suffered with sore breasts before my period and then after my period finished they would be fine until my next period was due. Then a couple of years ago when my periods started being all over the place my breasts would be sore nearly all the time. I started taking vitamin E (200 iu) and my breast soreness lessened and now (touch wood!) I have no breast pain whatsoever! I certainly know how you feel though and feel really sorry for you ..... hope you feel better soon.

Wow...so it took 3 months to get any relief?
do you apply the cream on your breasts or does it matter?
