In a quandry now...

Hi everyone,

Now that I have been using Progesterone cream for two months, I have started itching, especially in my left breast and on my back. I also have broken out with pimples on my chest, which I have not had for a long time. On the other hand, the arthritic pain in my fingers has improved greatly, and my hair doesn't seem to feel as dry. So, am I having an allergic reaction to the cream? I don't know if I should keep using it or not. I read that if you still have a uterus, you need progesterone to protect it, since most of us in menopause have a progesterone deficiency. My gyno wanted me to try a pill that is a combination of estrogen and progesterone. I picked them up at the pharmacy, and they don't make a generic, so they are $50.00 for 30 pills. I don't know if I should try them or not. It would get expensive to use them on an ongoing basis. What do you ladies think?

Re: In a quandry now...

Good question! I am taking so Pro G yam 2% progesterone cream and it helps with the hot and cold flash thing. I am having itching too. Maybe not all the time but the back of my neck and scalp itch alot. I don't know what to do. I need some definate help with this hormone level thing. I am really frustrated and not feeling well at all.

Hang in there!
