And yes, I'm getting the side effects too. Mood swings, weak muscles, hot flashes, dryness & pain.
I started on hormones and boosted my Vitamin D supplements to 2000 IU/day. I'm feeling better already. I see this as a second chance to really get on top of my health and wellbeing - a little kick in the butt to "get going". No more periods. I'm too old to have kids.
Anybody else have a positive attitude towards this?
My mother also has a pretty positive attitude toward menopause. She had some symptoms, but not too many. Also, she's had high blood pressure lately, and during her last few cycles, she noticed that her blood pressure went way up! Once they stopped entirely, she had a much easier time keeping pressure under control with only a little medication.
I have been in menopause for well over a year now. Had on and off symptoms over the last 10 years.I didnt think about menopause,I thought I was going crazy for awhile. But now everything has stopped,no problems at all. I dont have a sex drive anymore, but that bothers my hubby not me....
