Hello - can someone please help me? I have been menopausal for the last 4 years and occassionally I get a pins and needles sensation throughout my body. This sensation may last for a whole day and it happens about once every few months. Is this a common symptom of menopause or could it be something more serious? I have an appointment with my gyno next month and will ask about this but if someone can please shed any light on this, I would be most appreciative. Many thanks, Bella

Bella - I have gotten the pins and needles sensation at times also but it does not last an entire day. It would happen in the evening and last for an hour or so. I do not get hot flashes so I assumed that is related to menopause just like most crazy symptoms seem to be. You should certainly check with your doctor to make sure it is not related to something else. There are many weird things that occur when we begin menopause so it's always best to check with your doctor if you feel something is not right.
Thank you shotze for your reply. I got this sensation again today but it only lasted a couple of hours. I will certainly check this with my doctor. Thanks again xx
