| estring vaginal atrophy
I have moderate to severe vaginal atrophy and have been prescribed Estring to help with itching and dryness. I inserted it three weeks ago with no problem but my symptoms actually seem worse right now. How long should I wait to see if it improves? I have read that some women experience an increase in symptoms when they first start treatment. This is driving me crazy! Also, if the Estring doesn't work, where do I go from there? I have already tried Premarin cream (I'm allergic to something in the base) and Vagifem with no improvement. I had problems being consistent with the dosing which is why my gyn prescribed Estring since it would be a more consistent dose. I'm getting very discouraged. Has anyone had any experiences with Estring or anything else that may help?
