Period for 3 days, stopped then started again.

This is so weird...I had a 3 day period (which is normal for me during perimenopause) then it stopped for 3 or so days...then this morning I had a little bleeding again. This is weird. I have never had that happen. I am 44 and on progesterone and testosterone bioidentical hormone creams. Does anyone else have a period start then stop and then start again with a little bleeding a few days later? Should I be alarmed? Could it be the creams? Or is this normal during peri?? Thanks for any responses!

Re: Period for 3 days, stopped then started again.

I am on HRT and my doctor said I shouldn't bleed at all and if I did to call him. I started spotting and then he did that crazy test that really hurts (cone biopsy) or something like that. Then he told me everything was fine and that I could bleed sometimes and it was ok. I wish he would have said that before that awful test. How are the creams working out for you? I started progesterone cream today. I was taking progestra that my doctor prescribed.

Re: Period for 3 days, stopped then started again.

Hello, I am 44 and am going through crazy periods but my doc hasnt suggested hormones yet. I have had lots of blood work and a biopsy but for now I am just to write down every time i bleed. My last period was 3 weeks long, now 3 weeks later I am bleeding again. I have bled for a few days, stopped then started up again lots of times. Unfortunately I think it just comes with this menopause package.

Thanks for the info ladies! This is so hard knowing what is normal or not. I guess we just make our way through it.
