irregular bleeding - Menopause Message Board

Hello, My name is Kasey and I am 51 years old. I have a question to anyone who has quit HRT. I quit 3 months ago after having been on it for about 1 1/2 years. I was never happy taking them and decided I just did not want them anymore So I called my doctor who said I could quit "cold turkey". And so I did. About 3 weeks after quiting I started spotting about once a week. Very little. Called the doctor who said this was common after quiting the hormones. Now, I am spotting or breakthrough bleeding every day, and I am really tired of this. I have even had bleeding after sex which is kinda scary. I have also some cramping which is not pleasant. Has anyone out there also had the same problem? I have an appointment later this month but sure would like to hear some info before then. Thanks and hugs for having this site. Kasey

Kasey, why did you go off the hrt? was it side effects, or other? try looking into herbal help... I am talking with my chiropractor and he stongly recommends herbs.. look into it .. good luk at the doctors appointment.. keep us posted
