Hi, Doe !
Well, no one can tell if you are in peri menopause unless you get an FSH test (and they take additional hormone tests, too).
I was 38 and began to see things happening. The opposite happened to me. I
stopped getting acne pimples ! I was never full of them, but I could always tell my period was around the corner when I'd get a pimple. Suddenly, that stopped.
I had very minor, infrequent, light hot "blushes" more than "flashes", skipping periods too. The Worst thing (which eventually made me run to a gynecologist) was intermittant nauseau around my period and , really, whenever. When I had one period which was so painful with cramps, I went to one gynecologist who refused to test me for peri-menopause. Nine months later, I had the heaviest and worst bout of nausea and flew to a different gynecologist who tested me for EVERYTHING and I had entered peri-menopause, indeed ! Nine months after that (!) through another blood test, the gyne. announced to me that I am Menopaused.

. That was two months ago - I am 43 (three months shy of turning 44).
I think we know. I seriously think we feel it somehow.I realized that the symptoms I had may have been 100 other things, but somehow, I was praying for it to be the change and not anything more serious.Things just felt drastically different, and I had a feeling it was the change.
The gynecologist who refused to test me said that she doesn't test for it until yo skip six periods in a row. The gynecologist who I've had almost a year now said by all means, we must examine all possibilities.
Please post here about any results after your exam and also let us know about your concerns.
