Estrogen overdose??? - Menopause Message Board

Is this possible? What I really mean to ask is, I have been on estrogen since 94. Recently my skin has looked tanned and brown blotches. Is it possible that my body doesn't want estrogen anymore? I tried everything to improve the skin thing and just stopped the estrogen a week ago. Almost imediately my skin brightened up. It's much clearer looking and the tanned thing is going to. Anyone heard of this??

I'd guess the condition you may have is called melasma. It can appear in woman who are pregnant or take birth control. Look it up on the net and read about it a little. I think that taking the estrogen can cause you to have this as it seems to be female hormone related.
