Lupron shot - Menopause Message Board

I'm 33 years old and just received my first lupron shot. I'm scheduled to have a complete hysterectomy in a few weeks and was wondering if anyone else has had this shot to put them into menopause before surgery.

I had lupron shot for 6 months before I had a hysterectomy for endometriosis to see if I could avoid the hysterectomy. I gained 50 pounds on the shot. Otherwise I had no side effects from it. I think you will be fine. Hopefully you will get your hysterectomy soon. It feels great. I wish I would have had mine done years sooner.
