Clover Berry, look on the side of the box, usually there is a 1-800 number to call in case of hair color emergency.
I have done some strange things to my hair myself - seems like a silly waste of money to go to the beauty shop when I could do it myself at home. Once when I was much younger, I let my older sister and her room mate frost my hair. They didn't take into consideration that I had fine, thin hair, so big chunks were pulled thru that little bonnett. I looked like a skunk!!!! Ran to the drug store and bought some brown hair dye and it turned a lovely shade of moss green.
When I wore my hair really short I was quite free about changing the color often, it didn't matter because I wasn't going to get frizzy split ends and I would just go and get some more cut off. Now, I wear my hair a little longer and am more careful. One of the things I do to keep it looking a little more natural is when I do the roots, I put heavy conditioner on the longer parts so they won't absord as much color, seems to work for me.
Good luck and let us know what color you become, right now I am Champagne Blonde, the underside looks a little red, but I like it.
